About the Founder
Dr. Nitya Sharma
Founder & Principal Consultant
Dr. Nitya Sharma didn’t arrive at social impact through a single, linear path. Over 14+ years, she has designed and delivered work for corporates, national and international NGOs, and academic institutions. Each engagement has deepened her understanding of how organisations function, how communities respond to change, and where the gap between intent and impact persists.
Across engagements, one pattern became clear. Well-intentioned programs often operate on instinct rather than insight, which limits their ability to deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.
Socionest was built in response to this gap. It is grounded in the belief that organisations need a thinking partner who combines the analytical rigour of research with the grounded realism of field practice.
She holds a Ph.D. in Social Work, with research focused on workplace stress and gender in the IT sector. She also holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, along with advanced specialization in Human Resources and Project Management through her MBA training.
She is a Certified CSR Professional through The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has completed a Certificate in Grant Writing and Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills, USA.
Her work is driven by a commitment to bring structure, strategy, and accountability into the social impact space, ensuring that good intentions translate into meaningful outcomes.
